Our Bale Accumulator System

The Norden Mfg Bale Accumulator System is a set of hay handling equipment used to arrange and move small square bales with machines instead of hand labor. The fully automatic Norden Bale Accumulator uses no hydraulics or electronics to arrange the bales. The Grabber and innovative Tie-Grabber make loading bales onto wagons and trailers a breeze. The Squeeze makes quick work of moving blocks of bales in and out of storage.

We offer eight different models. You can have a system that will fit your current equipment and your needs. Things to consider are:

  • The number of bales you do in a year
  • What you intend to do with your bales
  • Size of your loader and wagons

Things to consider for Small Square Bale Handling Systems:

Sizing your system to the number of bales you do will save your investment and optimize your efficiency. A four-bale system is too small for an operation doing 20,000 bales per year. An eighteen-bale system is too large for an operation producing only 2,000 bales per year.

It is also important to choose if you want the bales to be flat on strings or “on edge.” The bales stacked on their edge tend to sweat better and hold their shape better. Many people stack the bales flat though because they like the increased stability.

Will you be shipping your bales away or will you be storing them for sale later? This can really

Size of your loader and wagons. For example, if you intend to load van trailers, the 18-bale system is a nice fit. If your wagons are only 7.5′ wide, the AF10 is a nice fit because a group of two bales long with a tie row fits nicely.

Here is a video of Kenny talking about all of the systems and why he would choose a particular size.
